by Greg Levin After an organizational pivot in late 2011, 2012 brought with it a new and exciting chapter in Eneji Pwop’s retail operations. Cote Sud regional expansion began in earnest with the hiring of our first Regional Sales Manager, the aptly named Ernest Mondesir. Mondesir’s impact was immediately felt as our distribution network quickly began to grow. Using a staged approach, learning lessons along the way and implementing them on the go, we went from supporting a network of one, the Clean Energy store in Les Anglais, on January 1, to working with a network of 30 stores and entrepreneurs by June 1. This number has continued to grow and today sits north of 70. In addition to the retailers themselves, we have also welcomed two other exciting new partners to the Eneji Pwop team. Jacques Hector in Jacmel and Jean Marie Boisrond in St. Marc are our first two Regional Wholesale Agents. We see the development of ‘Regional Agents’ as an important next step in Eneji Pwop’s growth. They represent a decentralized, organic, Haitian expansion. Their proliferation will lead to greater local buy in, more geographical coverage and, most importantly, more people taking their first steps out of energy poverty. 2012 has been full of exciting growth and new developments for the Eneji Pwop team. We can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store for us!
