EarthSpark’s president, Allison Archambault, is on her way back from Helsinki, Finland, where she was presenting at the Global Innovations for Children and Youth Summit organized by United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The panel, “Charging Up” featured energy innovators from around the world, and specifically discussed challenges and opportunities to getting affordable, reliable, clean energy services to the world’s underserved populations. UNICEF works “to advocate for the protection of children’s rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.” We’re delighted and grateful that they see expanding electricity access as an essential element of achieving this mission.
